Other Ways of Helping

You may have materials and equipment you can donate or you may be able to fund such items. Either way you can make a valuable contribution. Examples include:

Donate tools or Personal Protection Equipment for our volunteers

Certain equipment is required to help us maintain our sites especially when working with large groups of volunteers.  We always need more of the following: litter pickers, gloves, bin bags, loppers, bowsaws/blades, glyphosate herbicide and other gardening tools.

A van for the day £100

 Can you loan us a van for the day or even longer? Greenstreams has no official project vehicle making some practical works difficult to carry out. Hiring a van for a day can really help.

Organise a Corporate Volunteer Event: £350

Just want to run a volunteer session for your staff. £350 will allow for you and up to ten staff to make an impact at one of our sites.  Take part in a clean up or help restore a footpath - we’ll provide supervision, tools and full insurance.

Provide Specialist help or skills

Sometimes we require specialist skills to help design and develop projects. You or your staff may have the skills we need. If there are skills you would like to commit to the project please let us know. We might not need to call on them straightaway but it is good to know who we can go to for help.

Sponsor or contribute to a discrete project

We have many smaller projects, which require funding for labour and materials. For example:

 Improving gateways to sites;

  1. Repairing Steps or other access improvements;
  2. Undertaking some wildlife conservation work such as woodland wildflower planting or Japanese knotweed spraying.
  3. Printing of leaflets;
  4. Installing interpretation boards.

These are just some examples but there are many more, which we can discuss depending upon your interest and budget available.
